A Pastoral Letter of the Assembly of Catholic Ordinaries of the Holy Land
The Assembly of the Catholic Ordinaries of the Holy Land issued a Pastoral Letter for the Year of Faith entitled, “Faith is the realization of what is hoped for and evidence of things not seen.”
The text draws from the Instrumentum Laboris of the Synod of Bishops on the New Evangelization, from Benedict XVI’s recent Post-Synodal Apostolic Exhortation, “The Church in the Middle East,” and, especially, from the Pastoral Letters of the Catholic Patriarchs of the East and from the sixteen documents of the General Pastoral Plan, which were published after the Synod on the Catholic Church in the Holy Land.
