The Pilgrimage to the Tomb of Peter, entitled I Trust in You, will begin on Thursday, July 4, and conclude on Sunday, July 7, 2013 with Holy Mass celebrated by the Holy Father in St. Peter’s Square.

This gathering of young men and women from every continent—those who are answering the vocational call—will provide the opportunity to celebrate and to witness with joy to the great value of service in the Church for the New Evangelization.

Through the many opportunities provided during this pilgrimage to profess, celebrate and witness to the faith, those gathered will experience a deepening of their own personal relationships with Jesus Christ and will serve as living testimonies to one another and to the world of the great joy that comes from abandoning oneself “into the hands of a love that seems to grow constantly because it has its origin in God” (Porta Fidei, 7).

Introduction

Pilgrimage to the Tomb of Peter of Seminarians, Novices, and Those on a Vocational Journey

Print Mail Pdf

July 4-7, 2013

We want this Year to arouse in every believer the aspiration to profess the faith in fullness and with renewed conviction, with confidence and hope. It will also be a good opportunity to intensify the celebration of the faith in the liturgy, especially in the Eucharist…. At the same time, we make it our prayer that believers’ witness of life may grow in credibility.

(Pope Benedict XVI, Porta Fidei, 9)

Throughout the Year of Faith, events are being held in Rome in order to promote, on the universal level, the Holy Father’s goals for this great year. One of these major initiatives is The Pilgrimage to the Tomb of Peter by Seminarians, Novices, and Those on a Vocational Journey. This pilgrimage, entitled I Trust in You, will begin on Thursday, July 4, and conclude on Sunday, July 7, 2013 with Holy Mass celebrated by the Holy Father in St.
